Sludge vacuum pumps are a type of pneumatic conveying equipment powered by compressed air, which are widely used in many industrial fields such as oil drilling, river dredging, and solid waste treatment.

The sludge vacuum pump (also known as a solids transfer pump or drill cuttings transfer pump) uses pneumatic technology to create a high vacuum for suction, then converts it to positive pressure for material discharge. Its workflow consists of three stages:

1. Suction Stage: After the pump starts, the pressure inside the pump chamber decreases, and the sludge enters the separation tank due to the pressure difference.
2. Separation Stage: The gas-solid mixture decelerates inside the tank, the sludge settles, and the gas is continuously extracted.
3. Discharge Stage: Accumulated sludge is discharged periodically or continuously through the discharge valve, completing the cyclic transport.

This equipment requires no electricity, only compressed air, and has excellent explosion-proof performance, making it suitable for hazardous operating environments such as offshore platforms and oil and gas fields.
