TR Submersible Slurry Pump is a single-stage, single-suction overhung centrifugal pump for drilling mud and slurry containing suspended solids. The motor and drive assembly stay above the tank, while the pump section extends down into the fluid.
A long shaft links the motor to the submerged pump section. When the semi-open impeller rotates, slurry enters through the suction opening and moves upward through the pump casing. Agitation vanes around the impeller inlet keep settled solids moving near the suction opening, which is useful when the slurry carries a high solids load.
The vertical layout allows the pump to sit directly over a tank or pit. Unlike a horizontal pump installed outside the vessel, it does not require a separate external suction line. Bearings and shaft seals stay above the submerged section, away from the abrasive slurry.
The casing and impeller use wear-resistant alloy components. Standard immersion depths range from 800 to 2000 mm, while extended shaft lengths are available for deeper pits. A suction pipe can also be added for specific installation requirements.
