Drilling fluid brings cuttings and fine solids back to the surface as it circulates through the well. The solids control system separates these solids before the mud returns to active circulation.
Large cuttings are screened out by the shale shaker first. From there, the mud passes through the desander and desilter for progressively finer solids removal.
For gas-cut drilling fluid, a vacuum degasser removes entrained gas from the mud. A decanter centrifuge provides an additional fine-solids separation stage after the hydrocyclone equipment. In weighted mud, the centrifuge also provides a way to recover barite.
After treatment, the mud flows through the mud tanks and returns to active circulation. Pumps and mixing equipment keep the fluid moving between the tanks and separation stages.
TR offers system configurations for ZJ20, ZJ30, ZJ40, ZJ50, and ZJ70 drilling rigs.
