TR Double-Deck Shale Shaker handles drilling returns across two screen decks. The upper deck removes the larger cuttings first. Material passing through the upper screen then moves to the lower deck for finer screening.
Drilling returns enter the upper deck and spread across the screen surface. Larger cuttings move toward the upper discharge, while drilling fluid and finer solids pass through the screen. The material passing through the upper deck reaches the lower screen, where additional solids are removed before the fluid leaves the shaker.
The upper deck can use a coarser screen to remove larger cuttings before they reach the lower deck. This leaves the finer screen to handle the remaining solids. Screen openings can be selected separately for the two decks to create the required screening sequence.
The two decks provide 6.5 m² of total screening area in one shaker. The arrangement fits drilling operations that require two-stage screening without using two separate shakers.
