The TR Centrifugal Degasser is installed after the shale shaker to treat gas-cut drilling fluid before it enters the next stage of solids control.
A rotating impeller draws the mud into the vessel and spreads it as it turns. The gas bubbles separate from the mud and leave through the gas outlet. The degassed mud then returns to the circulation system.
Removing entrained gas helps maintain mud density and stable drilling fluid properties during circulation. The high-power impeller also mixes the mud, allowing the same unit to handle both degassing and mud conditioning.
