Components of Solids Control System Equipment

The efficient operation of the drilling solid control system relies on the coordinated cooperation of various functional devices. Each piece of equipment performs its specific function,forming complete purification and treatment chain that meets the requirements for separating impurities of different particle sizes and maintaining the performance of drilling fluid.

1. Shale Shaker

As the first-level equipment of the solid control system, it quickly separates large rock cuttings (>74um) from drilling fluid through high-frequency shale shaker, preventing themfrom entering downstream equipment and causing wear or blockage.

2. Desander and Desilter

Desander: Utilizing cyclone separation technology, it removes medium-sized sand particles ranging from 40 to 74um.

Desilter: Used for further processing of fine particulate impurities ranging from 15 to 40 um.

Features: The two can be used in parallel or series. The centrifugal separation has high efficiency and is flexibly adapted to different working conditions.
TRCS series desander: Processing capacity up to 300m3/h, it can separate particles ranging from 15 to 74um.

TRCN series desilter: Utilizing advanced hydrocyclone technology, they separate particles ranging from 10 to 15um.
3. Decanter Centrifuge

Micron-sized solid and colloidal particles are separated using high-speed centrifugal force, producing low-solids drilling fluid. The differential speed is adjustable to adapt todifferent mud properties, and the fully enclosed design prevents secondary pollution.

TRLW355~600 Series: Drum diameter 355-600mm, maximum speed 3200rpm, differential maximum 40rpm.
4. Vacuum Degasser

Remove harmful gases from drilling fluid to prevent well gushing or blowout. Vacuum Pump creates negative pressure inside the tank, causing the bubbles to burst and bedischarged, ensuring the safety of well control.

TRZCQ Series: Quickly removes gas from gas-contaminated drilling fluid using negative pressure separation technology, restoring mud properties and preventing blowouts.
5. Mud Agitator and Mixing Equipment

The agitator is installed on mud tank to provide continuous stirring and prevent solid phase settling; the mixing pump is used to quicklyadd chemical agents and maintain the stability of the mud properties.

6. Mud Tank

The multi-compartment design enables zoned storage of clean mud, waste mud and transition fluid, and supports closed-loop circulation. The tank integrates allsolid control equipment and is equipped with auxiliary facilities such as liquid level gauges, pipelines and valves.
